1. What is face serum?

Serums are usually formulated with a higher concentration of active ingredients so that a few drops are sufficient to cover the entire face. The texture is usually lighter than a moisturizer, which allows for it to be used as a stand-alone product for someone with oilier skin, or used under a moisturizer for someone with normal to dry skin. Serums contain the most potent dose of anti-aging ingredients: antioxidants, peptides, retinol, growth factors, alpha and beta hydroxyl acids, unique botanicals, and skin brighteners such as vitamin C. They're the true workhorses of any product line. Those few concentrated drops are super-efficient. Serums are made of very small molecules, so the skin absorbs them quickly and deeply. The thicker, heavier ingredients in creams form a barrier on your skin. That's great for locking moisture in. But it can also lock active ingredients out. Without these hindrances, the active ingredients in a serum penetrate your skin faster and more effectively.

2. How to apply serum?

Serums should be applied twice daily. Joyal Beauty Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid serums can be applied day and night. Retinol serum should be applied only at night. Serums are the first products that should be applied to the skin after cleansing and toning (if no toning, that is fine), because serums are made  of very small molecules and can penetrate the skin to a deep layer compared to big molecules moisturizers and creams. Apply the serum with one or two fingers (so as to avoid wasting the serum on your hands) and massage gently thoroughly into the skin. A sunscreen should be applied over the serum in the morning and a moisturizer appropriate for an individual’s skin type should be used over the serum at night. Serum can not replace moisturizer if you have dry skin type, you still need to apply your favorite moisturizer after apply serum. However, if you have oily skin type, you may find applying Joyal Beauty serums alone without other moisturizers makes you feel more comfortable. It is up to your feeling. Feel it, and find the best way to use it.

3. Serums are usually expensive, why are Joyal Beauty serums prices so reasonable?

Yes, because active ingredients are more expensive than thickeners, serums are usually the costliest product in many skin care lines. We can find many big brands face serums in market are above $70/bottle. Joyal Beauty's vision is to create the luxury feeling at most affordable prices for everyone. We adopt strict internal control system, use eco-friendly packaging and minimum spending on advertising campaign while buying highest quality raw material from suppliers. High price does not mean high quality. Many big national brands' advertising fees usually account to over 70% of their costs. People pay too much for their advertisements not the products. While in Joyal Beauty, advertising cost is less than 5% of the whole cost. We are proud of keeping "small and beautiful", only serving people who love nature and love themselves. We mainly rely on word of mouth of our happy customers. So when you buy serums from us, you know every penny is worthful, since you spend every penny on your face, not on advertising campaign.

4. How long is Joyal Beauty serums shelf life?

Our business strategy is to keep lowest inventory level to make sure every serum is fresh made within one month before delivering to customers while lowering the warehouse storage cost. Our products are made in small batches that ensure the highest quality and the longest shelf life. Because our batches are small, we can ensure the freshest organic ingredients available to provide effective skin and facial rejuvenation. So we can provide highest quality products at lowest prices to customers. All our 98% natural 72% organic products pass through stable test and the shelf life is 2 years after opening. For those 98% natural products, we choose small amount of ethylhexylglycerin preservative derived from vegetable oil as a safe alternative to harmful parabens. There is only one serum with 1 year shelf  life-100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum, which we use an organic preservative leucidal derived from radishes fermented with leuconostoc kimchii to keep it 100% natural while the shelf life is shorter than other products. But many people find they use up 1 oz bottle serum within 1-2 months after purchasing. So you do not need to worry about expiration date. Serums should be stored in a cool dry place in 52°F-73°F room temperature, avoiding heat and sunlight directly.

5. Why do Joyal Beauty serums use 1 oz dark container with pump dispenser as packaging? How long will it last if I apply everyday?

All antioxidants, including vitamin C, are vulnerable to deterioration in the presence of air and light. Unless the product is in an airtight and opaque package, don’t buy it! Many brands serums come in pump bottles or have medicine-dropper applicators to dispense just the tiny amount you need. Those few concentrated drops are super-efficient. Serum is a concentration delivery of potent ingredients. Most customers find a 1-ounce container of serum should last 1-3 months for use. The length of time is decided by your usage. We recommend you use serum twice daily, at least once daily. When you buy serums, remember to choose dark container with a pump dispenser so that light and air don't degrade them quickly. Joyal Beauty serums carefully choose dark amber glass pump dispenser bottle as packaging instead of dropper bottle to avoid the active ingredients exposure to air and light. With pump bottle you do not need to open the serum cap every time when you apply. Constantly open and close dropper bottle will render the vitamin C to become ineffective quickly since opening the dropper serum increases possibilities of those ingredients exposure to more air and light. Also pump bottle is easier to control the usage compared to dropper bottle and avoid waste of serum. Many companies use dropper bottle because it is cheaper than pump bottle. Joyal Beauty only choose high quality pump dispenser because it is obviously better than dropper.

6. What is paraben? What does "paraben-free" mean? I found many expensive big brands still contain parabens. Why are Joyal Beauty products paraben-free?

Parabens are the most widely used preservatives in cosmetics and personal care products such as soap, moisturizers, shaving cream and underarm deodorant, according to the Food and Drug Administration. To get a bit science-y, parabens are esters (a compound formed from acid and alcohol) of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. The most common are methylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben.
It is estimated that more than 90% of cosmetics companies use parabens to extend the shelf life of products and prevent growth of bacteria and fungi in. A potential skin irritant linked to several long-term health implications. However some researches show that parabens may be linked to breast cancer and fertility issues. In the 1990s, parabens were deemed xenoestrogens―agents that mimic estrogen in the body. “Estrogen disruption” has been linked to breast cancer and reproductive issues. And in 2004 British cancer researcher Philippa Darbre, Ph.D., found parabens present in malignant breast tumors. As a result, experts in many countries are recommending limits on paraben levels in cosmetic products. What’s more, watchdog organizations worry that if parabens can be stored in the body, over time they could have a cumulative effect and pose a health risk. That is why choosing paraben-free products is important. You do not want to spend over $300 to buy a bottle of famous brand cream such as Sis*** which contains many harmful parabens. You want sustainable healthy products.  “Paraben-Free” means that the product contains no parabens. Instead of parabens, Joyal Beauty uses ingredients such as ethylhexylglycerin and leucidal, which are plant-derived and safe, so our customers don't have to sacrifice performance and their health or the planet's health.

7. What are sulfates? Why are Joyal Beauty products sulfates-free?

Sulfates are a group of cheap detergents or surfactants that are used in countless consumer goods today. The most commonly used sulfates are sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). Sulfates themselves are classified as a skin and membrane irritant and therefore, also a possible carcinogen with repeated or prolonged exposure. They also can produce even more hazardous by-products by the other ingredients they are often blended with. The interactions with other common cleansing ingredients cause an offspring of toxins called nitrosamines. These are of the nitrate family. You may have read about these compounds as they are well known carcinogens when consumed or applied to the skin.Soaps and skin cleansers containing these detergents strip away the protective lipids (natural fats) that encase the skin. They upset the moisture balance of the skin and unnecessarily dry it out. The false sense of "clean" that these detergents give is really due to the fact that they are stripping our protective layers from our skin and hair. Sulfates can cause skin irritations, worsen existing skin problems and can even be linked to hair loss. Sulfates are cheap and effective as a detergent, but our delicate scalp, hair, and hair follicles aren't able to handle the harsh chemical—especially as we age. Joyal Beauty will never sacrifice our customers' health, that's why all Joyal Beauty products are sulfates-free.

8. What are phthalates? Why are Joyal Beauty products phthalates-free?

Phthalates are a class of chemicals with a wide array of uses in consumer products. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is used in nail polish, and is listed by the EU as an endocrine-disrupting compound of high concern. Diethyl phthalate (DEP) is used in fragrance to help the scent linger. Rarely found on labels because it is a constituent ingredient of the ubiquitous “fragrance”. Two decades of research suggest that phthalates disrupt hormonal systems, which can cause harm during critical periods of development. Phthalate exposure in pregnant women, as measured by urine samples, has been associated with a shortened distance between the anus and genitals in their male babies, indicating a feminization had occurred during prenatal genital development. Shorter anogenital distance is characteristic of female sex in both humans and animals. Other research in humans has shown that baby boys exposed to phthalates in breast milk had alterations in their hormone levels.Research in adult human males has found exposure to some phthalates is associated with poor sperm quality and infertility. Further research in male animals has shown that exposure to various phthalates causes birth defects of the genitals – such as hypospadias (an abnormal location for the opening of the urethra on the underside of the penis) and undescended or small testicles – resulting in low sperm counts and infertility. Female laboratory animals exposed to phthalates also have been found to have alterations in sex hormones and experience fetal loss. One of the ways that phthalates interfere with reproductive functioning is by reducing the levels of sex hormones, which are critical for development and functioning of the sex organs. Additional research suggests that these same mechanisms may link phthalates to breast cancer. Phthalates have also been shown to cause proliferation of breast tumor cells and renders anti-estrogen treatments, such as tamoxifen, less effective against tumors. To avoid these problems, remember to choose “phthalates-free” products. And products that list “fragrance” on the label should be avoided to prevent possible exposure to phthalates. All Joyal Beauty products are phthalates-free and contain no fragrance. The smell of our products are only the smell of natural healthy ingredients such as organic essential oil and vegetable oil.

9. What are petrochemicals? Why are Joyal Beauty products petrochemicals-free?

Petrochemicals (including mineral oils, propylene glycol, silicone, and petroleum products)  are chemicals derived from petroleum or natural gas. Materials are obtained from crude petroleum in one of two ways. The materials may be present in the crude oil and are isolated by physical methods, or they are synthesized during the refining operations. Some common petrochemicals that have health concerns are dioxins, phthalates, SLS, DEA, TEA and formaldehyde. There are over 4,000 products classified as petrochemicals. Petrochemicals and their byproducts, such as dioxin, are known to cause an array of serious health problems, including cancer and endocrine disruption (interference with hormones within your body). Endocrine disruptors interfere with growth, development, intelligence, and reproduction. The damage can be irreversible and be passed on to future generations.Recent studies have shown that we may actually acquire more toxins through skin absorption and inhalation than through the foods that we eat. Because the skin is the largest organ in the body, this is a substantial surface area through which toxic chemical migration may occur. When you rub chemicals on your skin, they can pass straight through and enter your bloodstream within minutes. They do not absorb into the skin well so even if they are combined with skin-healthy ingredients, they typically prevent these beneficial ingredients from being properly absorbed. Also known to pollute the water and environment.
For example, mineral oil is a very inexpensive petroleum product that can clog the pores and reduce the skin’s ability to detoxify, which was found to promote premature aging and interfere with skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Silicone emollients are occlusive - that is they coat the skin, trapping anything beneath it, and do not allow the skin to breathe (much like plastic wrap would do.) Silicones compose a wide family of synthetic compounds use in formulations for their soft and silky texture. They are not friendly to the environment as they are not biodegradable. Propylene Glycol is a petroleum derivative used as a humectant to stop products from drying out. Research at the American Academy of Dermatologists has shown this to be a skin irritant linked with several allergies.
So, always look for natural ingredients in the products you buy. Do not use cosmetics that are artificially colored. Is the serum bright green or blue? Very likely it contains a coal tar color. Does the product contain synthetic fragrances? Don't buy it. You may find that some of your allergy problems will suddenly disappear when you no longer use cosmetics formulated with petrochemicals and other synthetics. All Joyal Beauty products are petrochemicals-free and no colors or fragrances added.

10. What is cruelty-free? Why are all Joyal Beauty products cruelty-free?

The term “cruelty-free” or "not tested on animals" is generally understood within the animal rights movement as a product that has not been tested on animals by the manufacturer. Animals such as rabbits, rats, mice, and guinea pigs are forced to eat or inhale substances, or have a cosmetic ingredient rubbed onto their shaved skin, eyes or ears every day for 28 or 90 days to see if they have an allergic reaction. Then they are killed and cut open to examine the effects the ingredient has on internal organs. These tests are also done with pregnant animals who, after much suffering, are killed along with the fetus. In more prolonged carcinogen tests, rats are force-fed a cosmetic ingredient over two years, monitored for cancer, and then killed. As technology developed, outdated animal testing is being replaced with quicker, cheaper and more accurate methods. Critics point out that humane alternatives can be slow to implement, costly, and test only one compound at a time. Alternatives have shown positive results. For example reconstructed human epidermis—which uses human skin donated from cosmetic surgery to replace the rabbit Draize skin test—is more relevant to human reactions. Other methods replace the Draize eye test by using in vitro (test-tube) human tissue. Computer-based systems allow for isolation of a select tissue or organ to conduct tests in an extremely controlled environment. These tests not only save countless animal lives, but are more precise and accurate at protecting humans from toxic substances. Another cruelty-free option is using ingredients that have already been established as safe, such as the 20,000 ingredients in the European Union database. So it’s important to buy cruelty-free products to support companies that are animal-friendly and to boycott companies that still test on animals. In the United States, federal law requires drugs to be tested on animals, but no law requires cosmetics or household products to be tested on animals unless they contain new chemicals. With so many substances that are already known to be safe, cruelty-free companies can continue to offer new, quality products year after year without testing on animals. All Joyal Beauty products are cruelty-free.

11. What's the differences between your Ultra Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum and  Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum? Which one should I choose?

Both of these two serums are great for all skin types even the most sensitive skin. Both of them contain hyaluronic acid but the percentages of formulas are different. Ultra Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum is the best for its revolutionary moisturizing and antioxidant nutrition formulas. It contains 5% purest hyaluronic acid and 5% vitamin C and more excellent natural antioxidants. However, some extremely oily skin type people might prefer more "plain" pure hyaluronic acid serum without adding any other ingredients such as organic jojoba oil and geranium essential oil. To satisfy those specific needs, we design more plain and basic hyaluronic acid serum for this group of people. Instead of Ultra Hyaluronic Moisturizing  Serum, this specific group may choose 100% natural botanic oil-free alcohol-free Joyal Beauty 100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum which contains no other ingredients except concentrated 3% botanical HA. Also the natural preservatives in these two serums are different. Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum is water-based serum while Ultra Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum is organic herbal infusion-based serum, so their shelf life is different. Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum has shorter shelf life and lower price. When the percentage of HA is above 3%, the serum is more gel-like. So Ultra Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum is more gel-like instead of liquid-like than Pure Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum. You can choose any one of them according to your specific needs.

12. Can I apply Joyal Beauty face serums around my eyes?

Absolutely yes.  Joyal Beauty face serums contain the stable, potent, and gentle ingredients without any artificial fragrance and dyes and harmful chemicals, it is designed for all over the face, including skin around eyes. It is true that the skin around the eye is thinner, using thick eye creams can make your foundation or concealer crease into lines around the eye. Joyal Beauty face serums actually have a lighter and thinner consistency than most brands of eye creams. Joyal Beauty face serums are well formulated to fight dry skin and wrinkles, repair skin, create healthier skin cells, build collagen, improve dark circles (to some extent), and prevent sun damage, and you will be doing the most you can via skin care for the eye area.

13. I have extreme combination skin. My T-zone is very oily , while the sides of my face remain very dry. Can you suggest a right daily routine for me?

Picture
Treating extreme combination skin requires a routine of gentle, fragrance-free products that contain ingredients proven to normalize skin. With the right products, extreme combination skin will become less oily and less dry! The most effective approach is a skin-care routine that includes a product that isn't too heavy for your oily T-zone, a skin-repairing toner for all over use, and a richer cream or lotion-textured moisturizer to spot-treat your extra-dry areas.
Your daytime routine would look like this:
1.Cleanse.
2. Apply a lightweight toner.
3.Smooth on a weightless anti-aging serum-Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Serum.
4. Apply Joyal Beauty 100% natural oil-free Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum on your face, especially your oily T-zone and you don't need to apply moisturizer on T-zone.
5.Spot-apply an emollient moisturizer to dry areas only, including around the eyes.
6. Apply a super-light sunscreen all over the face and neck.
Your nighttime routine would look like this:
1.Cleanse.
2. Apply a lightweight toner.
3.Apply a light, liquid BHA exfoliant or lotion BHA exfoliant.
4. Smooth on a weightless anti-aging serum-Joyal Beauty Ultimate Brightening Age Defy Serum: This serum also has exfoliating function and can control oil production so it is best for your T-zone area. You don't need to follow with moisturizer on your oily T-zone after applying this serum.
5. Spot-apply an emollient moisturizer to dry areas only, including around the eyes
6. If needed, apply a silky gel moisturizer (think ultra-light) to oily areas.

14. Your Ultimate Brightening Age Defy Serum is also called Kojic Acid Serum. What is kojic acid? Benefits? What's the percentage of kojic acid in this serum? Is that safe?

Picture
Kojic acid is an all-natural compound derived from fungi – sort of like mushrooms. Our kojic acid is derived from organic wild reishi. That means that kojic acid is completely natural and not something that’s man-made in a laboratory by a group of scientists and dermatologists.Kojic acid works to stop the production of melanin in your skin. Melanin is the substance that gives your skin its pigment. Age spots, sun spots and spots related to melasma and hyperpigmentation generally contain more melanin than the surrounding healthy skin.
Kojic acid is very safe. Kojic acid isn’t just used for skin care, either. Kojic acid is also commonly used in foods as a preservative since its all-natural and helps to extend the shelf life of a given product. That means that kojic acid is so safe that it can actually be eaten without any adverse side effects.
Upon re-examination of the available data for Kojic Acid, its use as a whitening agent at a concentration of 1.0 % in leave-on creams, when applied to face or body is safe for the consumer.Higher percentage is not better because higher than 1% kojic acid might cause some skin irritations. So around 1% is the best! Joyal Beauty Ultimate Brightening Age Defy Serum contains less than and close to 1% kojic acid. It is very safe and gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin.

15. Can your serums be stored in the fridge?

Our serums should be stored in a cool dry place, avoiding direct sunlight. Storing in the fridge is not required. However, storing your serums in the fridge even has an extra benefit - the coolness will instantly de-puff and soothe! Many customers like to store their skincare products in fridge to get the extra cooling and firming effects. Refrigeration doesn't impact active ingredients, it might just slightly change the way it looks. So our answer is absolutely yes.

16. Why is your hyaluronic acid serum only good externally when it is all vegan and organic and natural? H.A. comes in capsules, too. So, is this any different?

There are two generations of hyaluronic acid:
1. HA that comes in capsules or powder supplements is high molecular weight, meaning it is a bigger molecule and harder to absorb into the skin dermis.High molecular weight hyaluronic acid is used in aesthetic medicine (sub-dermal injections) in its natural form or reticulated one, to fill wrinkles. In cosmetics, this grade of hyaluronic acid is used as a thicker moisturizer because it has the main property of retaining water on the skin SURFACE only. This grade of hyaluronic acid has no biological activity.
2. Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid is made up of small pieces of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. This grade is mainly used in cosmetics, especially in serum, as these pieces have been shown to activate some biological pathways, leading to anti-aging effects. It can penetrate deeper into skin DERMIS. That's why Joyal Beauty serums use low molecule hyaluronic acid for better absorption.

17. I am over 30 and I don't have deep wrinkles yet but my skin on the face is sagging and need anti-aging serum. I ordered the Timeless Skin Renewal Serum but I see that you have some other products and I wanted to know how I can use and combine them. I have dry skin. Thank you!

All of our serums can be combined used. Our retinol serum and age defy serum should be used at night, while other serums could be used at day and night. When Amazon shipped the products, we always send the detailed direction to our customers. Please read that email carefully before using our products. Basically the thinner texture products should be used before thicker texture products. So your sequences of application should be: toner->serum->eye gel->moisturizer/facial oil->sunscreen(daytime).

Many customers started to try our products from our vitamin c serum and hyaluronic acid serum. Our vitamin c has the thinnest texture so it should be the first serum to apply, then you can apply HA serum or royal jelly serum (AM+PM). Aloe vera is best when it comes to firming and tightening loose skin. The malic acid in aloe vera gel helps improve the elasticity of your skin and get rid of sagging skin. Our vitamin c serum is aloe vera based.
Hyaluronic acid serum is always great for drying sagging skin because it can attract water into the skin dermis. We have two different hyaluronic serums: One is 100% natural original HA serum with 3% concentration, it is for all skin types but especially good for oily or sensitive skin; the other one is 98% natural HA serum with 5% HA solution+5%vitamin c, suitable for all skin types.

Our royal jelly serum is also very popular because royal jelly, honey, and propolis are excellent natural moisturizer and anti-aging ingredients. Use gentle cleanser or honey to clean your face. Then apply our vitamin c serum. If you want to gently remove the dead cells and exfoliate your face, try our Age Defy Serum at night. Sagging skin is caused by chronic dehydration. A common complaint of those who experience dehydration is that their moisturizers aren’t doing the job. A regular exfoliation will help with the permeation of the product and will improve overall results. All of our serums are collagen boosters.

Because serums are made as light-weight and contain less oil so it can penetrate into skin dermis to deliver the nutrition, for dry skin type people, it is very important to follow with oil-based moisturizer which can stay on your skin surface to prevent water loss. We saw you bought our royal jelly serum. If you like bee products, you may find some moisturizers containing beeswax; Beeswax is greasy but good for your dry skin to prevent water loss. You may also find some organic facial oils to massage your face regularly. Massaging your face and neck with a natural oil like olive oil helps tighten loose skin to keep it firm and smooth. Olive oil has antioxidants like vitamins A and E that render anti-aging benefits. It will also help keep your skin well moisturized. You can also use avocado, coconut, grapeseed, jojoba or almond oil to massage your face, neck, arms and legs. Honey has natural hydrating, antioxidant and anti aging properties that are helpful for treating sagging skin. You can mix honey and oil to massage you face.

Lack of muscle causes skin to remain loose and doesn’t let it regain elasticity. Adding resistance training three times a week with cardiovascular training 2 days per week is a good idea for maintaining a healthy body and skin. Exfoliate your skin regularly to shed dead skin cells and promote circulation to your skin. Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated and moisturizing help prevent fluid retention, and keep your skin cells plump and firm. Protect your skin from the sun by applying sunscreen before going outdoors. Skin products that contain yeast extract, aloe vera extract and vitamin c may firm your skin by inducing collagen and elastin production. Hyaluronic acid serum can also restore water to sagging, aged skin.

18. What happens to hyaluronic acid upon aging?

Hyaluronic acid is very sensitive to free radicals, and hydrolyzing enzymes (hyaluronidase). An estimated one third of hyaluronic acid in our body is produced and degraded every day. As we age the production rate becomes lower than the rate of degradation, partially explaining some of the problems of skin sagging and painful joints. In conditions, stimulating the abnormal production of free radicals in our skin (such as UVs exposure, pollutants, chemical stresses), hyaluronic acid degrades even more quickly, leading to the appearance of premature signs of aging.
Add Joyal Beauty 100% all natural hyaluronic acid to your daily skincare regimen today and you will look younger!

19. Could you recommend one of your products that can remove the fatty particles on the face? Do you have any suggestions?

Fat particles formation has many causes: some due to endocrine causes of face oil too much, while cleansing not in correct way, that plug pores, appears oil particles; some because using of skin care products too greasy, skin cannot full absorption, and formation oil stacked pores; also some because using mill sand cream, and too horny products, and too drying of skin care products, or frequently of makeup.

You may go to professional skin-care clinic or facial spas to seek a quick solution. The professional staffs would remove the fat particles with sterilized needle or ion machine. Both of the two ways are not expensive and have a good effect without leaving a scar or pock on our face.

In terms of day-to-day maintenance, you'd better be careful not to use oil maintenance skin care products, diet to eat less greasy food, drink plenty of water and appropriate amount of sweat, make skin smooth breathing; not too frequently use exfoliating products and scrub. Using too oily skincare or eye cream would cause the skin to fully complete absorption smudge oil, for a period of time after which they would form fat grain again! So choosing light-weighted water-based skin care products is important to you. All of our serums contains no oil or less oil and will not clog pores. We recommend applying our oil-free Joyal Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serumaround your eyes and on your face. Many customers with oily skin or sensitive skin types love this serum! We've received many positive feedback from customers! Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Eye Gel is also very light-weighted and will not cause fat particles.

20. How to get rid of brown spots?

When skin is exposed to the sun, it causes an increase in the production of cells known as melanocytes that increase melanin in the skin, thus turning the skin darker. These dark skin patches are known as brown spots, age spots, dark spots, sun spots etc. Some of the main causes of brown spots are sun exposure, aging, and genetics. Factors like stress, pregnancy, vitamin c and vitamin a deficiencies, and weak liver functioning may also contribute to this problem.
Avoiding sun exposure and applying vitamin c serum are key factors to avoid brown spots. Before applying our Super Brightening Vitamin C Serum, you may use lemon juice or buttermilk to exfoliate your skin because buttermilk contains lactic acid that helps exfoliate the skin to remove blemishes and brown spots without drying out your skin.
Also apple cider vinegar is an effective remedy for a number of skin problems including brown spots. It will help dry out and fade the spots faster.
Horseradish is also a fantastic herb that helps remove age spots and freckles and makes your skin spotless, thanks to its skin lightening properties. Our exfoliating serum Ultimate Brightening Age Defy Serum contains horseradish and kojic acid, which is very good to be used with our Super Brightening Vitamin C Serum at the same time to lighten or get rid of brown spots. It also contains two exfoliants --- glycolic & salicylic acid. They gently slough off dead cells, instantly brightening skin. Removing this top layer improves the penetration of active ingredients, making the lightener more effective.
The anti-ager does more than just fight wrinkles — it also targets hyperpigmentation. It's excellent at speeding cell turnover. As brown spots start to form, retinol keeps them from reaching their full maturity. Find it in Joyal Beauty Retinol Correcting Serum. And apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily; otherwise spots will return, no matter which fading treatment you use.
If the age spot is too dark and exists for many years and you want the quickest results, you might need to see your dermatologist to seek for clinical treatments such as laser treatment, which might be the fastest way to get rid of it.
